Intuitive has appointed Taylor Patton as its new Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, as part of a leadership transition aimed at supporting the company's continued global growth.
Patton succeeds Henry Charlton, who will take on the role of Senior Vice President of Global Business Operations. Both executives will work together to ensure a smooth transition while advancing Intuitive's mission of expanding access to minimally invasive care.
Patton joins Intuitive's Executive Leadership team after serving as Global Senior Vice President of the company's endoluminal business. He brings extensive experience across Intuitive's da Vinci, Ion, and Digital platforms, positioning him to strengthen commercial operations, enhance customer engagement, and support the company's growing global presence.
During his tenure leading the endoluminal business, Patton oversaw the worldwide launch and expansion of the Ion robotic-assisted platform. The initiative involved establishing new commercial organizations across multiple regions, developing clinical programs, and introducing innovative technology to healthcare providers operating in diverse healthcare systems. His leadership played a key role in scaling the platform and supporting its global adoption.
Over the course of his career at Intuitive, Patton has held leadership roles across commercial operations, marketing, and clinical application engineering. His broad cross-functional expertise is expected to help the company deliver consistent customer support while driving commercial excellence and market expansion.
Meanwhile, outgoing Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer Henry Charlton will transition to Senior Vice President of Global Business Operations. In his new role, Charlton will collaborate closely with Patton to maintain operational continuity, strengthen global business performance, and support healthcare providers in expanding access to robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgical care worldwide.
