ImpediMed has appointed Erik Anderson as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition as the company advances its next phase of commercial expansion.
Anderson, who joined the company’s Board of Directors in February 2026, succeeds Parmjot Bains, who will remain in an advisory role through June 30, 2026, to support a smooth transition.
The appointment comes as ImpediMed continues to build momentum in its Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema (BCRL) business. According to the company, the Board determined that the next stage of growth requires enhanced commercial execution, particularly within the United States healthcare market. Anderson’s leadership will focus on accelerating revenue growth, increasing health system adoption, managing operational costs, and advancing the company toward long-term profitability and cash flow break-even.
Anderson brings extensive commercial leadership experience within the medical technology industry. Most recently, he served as President of the Breast and Skeletal Health Division at Hologic, Inc., where he led one of the company’s largest global business units, generating more than US$1.6 billion in revenue. During his tenure, he managed a large multi-franchise commercial organization focused on breast cancer detection, intervention, and surgical technologies.
He also brings significant expertise in healthcare delivery, reimbursement strategies, clinical adoption, and hospital sales, along with strong relationships across U.S. healthcare systems and key clinical stakeholders.
Over the past two years, ImpediMed has expanded the capabilities of its SOZO® platform by introducing new clinical indications for body composition monitoring in weight management and fluid status monitoring for heart health. The company also noted that reimbursement coverage for BCRL monitoring has now expanded to 93% of covered lives across the United States, positioning ImpediMed for continued growth in the evolving healthcare technology market.
