Brainomix, a leading provider of AI-powered imaging solutions for stroke and lung fibrosis, has appointed Khush F. Mehta as Chair of the Board of Directors, marking a strategic move as the company accelerates its global commercial growth.
Mehta succeeds Professor Jacqueline “Jackie” Hunter, CBE, who has served as Chair for the past five years.
A seasoned executive with over 20 years of international leadership in healthcare, Mehta brings deep expertise in AI and medical imaging. He previously served as Chairman of Arterys, a trailblazer in AI-driven radiology solutions, which was acquired by Tempus AI in 2022. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Siemens Healthcare, where he also led operations across the Asia Pacific region and held leadership roles in both the US and Germany.
Holding an MBA from Yale School of Management and a Master’s in Commerce and Financial Management from Sydenham College, Mehta will be based in the US, supporting Brainomix’s continued internationalization and expansion into key markets, particularly in North America.
His appointment follows Brainomix’s recent £14 million ($18 million) Series C funding round, enabling the company to scale its flagship Brainomix 360 platform, particularly after securing FDA clearance for a groundbreaking, patented feature - a significant milestone in its efforts to enhance stroke diagnostics and treatment.
The announcement also acknowledges the retirement of Andrew Barker, Brainomix’s first Chair and Founding Director. His leadership was instrumental in guiding Brainomix from a University of Oxford spin-out to an internationally recognized MedTech innovator.
With Mehta’s appointment, Brainomix strengthens its governance and strategic direction as it scales innovation and commercial impact across global healthcare markets.
