Sotera Health Company, a global provider of sterilization services, laboratory testing, and advisory solutions for the healthcare industry, has appointed Richard G. Kyle as an independent director to its Board of Directors.
Kyle will also serve as a member of the Board’s Leadership Development and Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Kyle most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Timken Company, a global manufacturer of bearings, transmissions, and industrial motion products. He held the CEO role from May 2014 to September 2024. During his leadership, Kyle guided Timken through a period of financial transformation and strategic expansion, strengthening the company’s industrial motion portfolio while entering new product segments and diversifying its end markets.
Before becoming CEO, Kyle held several senior leadership roles at Timken, including Chief Operating Officer and President of multiple business segments. His extensive experience in global operations, strategic business development, and financial leadership contributed significantly to the company’s growth and operational performance.
Earlier in his career, Kyle held leadership positions at Hubbell Incorporated and Cooper Industries, further strengthening his expertise in managing complex industrial businesses.
Kyle continues to serve on the Board of Directors of Timken. He is also a long-standing board member of Sonoco Products Company (NYSE: SON), where he serves on the Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and chairs the Executive Compensation Committee.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Northwestern University.
