TriStar Centennial Medical Center has appointed Carolyn Hunter as its new Chief Operating Officer, strengthening its executive leadership team as the organization continues to enhance operational excellence and patient care.
Hunter joins the Tennessee-based hospital after serving as Chief Operating Officer at HCA Healthcare Florida Aventura Hospital, a position she held for the past three years.
Hunter brings extensive leadership experience across the HCA Healthcare network, having built her career through a series of progressive operational roles. She began her journey with HCA Healthcare as an administrative fellow in the company's Continental Division in Denver and has since held several key leadership positions across multiple states.
Throughout her career, Hunter has served in leadership roles within HCA Healthcare in Nashville, as Vice President of Operations at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and as Chief Operating Officer at Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. Her experience spans hospital operations, strategic planning, and organizational performance, positioning her to support TriStar Centennial Medical Center's continued growth and commitment to high-quality patient care.
In her new role, Hunter will oversee hospital operations, working closely with the leadership team to strengthen clinical services, improve operational efficiency, and support initiatives that enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University and earned both a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her combination of academic credentials and broad operational expertise is expected to help advance TriStar Centennial Medical Center's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services while supporting the organization's long-term strategic objectives.
