AngioInsight Appoints Medtech Veteran Shlomi Nachman to Board of Directors

AngioInsight, a leader in AI-powered cardiovascular diagnostics, has appointed Shlomi Nachman, former Worldwide Chairman of Johnson & Johnson’s Cardiovascular and Specialty Solutions (CSS), to its Board of Directors.

The company also announced the initiation of its US$25 million Series A funding round, following the successful close of an oversubscribed seed round. The new investment will accelerate the clinical and commercial development of AngioAI+™, AngioInsight’s software-only platform designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy for coronary artery disease (CAD) and enable real-time detection of coronary microvascular disease (CMD).

Mr. Nachman brings more than 25 years of leadership in global medtech and cardiovascular innovation to AngioInsight’s Board. During his tenure at Johnson & Johnson, he oversaw US$9 billion in annual revenue and led the company’s global cardiovascular portfolio, driving major advancements in interventional cardiology and vascular solutions. His extensive experience in scaling complex healthcare technologies will guide AngioInsight as it advances its next generation of AI-driven angiographic analysis tools.

The Series A investment will fund clinical evaluation and commercial launch of AngioAI+, which analyzes coronary physiology using angiographic images to calculate key diagnostic metrics, including Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) and Coronary Flow Reserve (CFR).

By eliminating the need for invasive pressure wires, hyperemic agents, or additional procedural steps, AngioAI+ aims to provide actionable diagnostic results within minutes, enabling faster and safer decision-making in catheterization labs.

With over 20 million Americans affected by CAD and growing awareness of underdiagnosed conditions such as CMD, particularly in women, AngioInsight’s platform is positioned to transform AI-guided cardiovascular diagnostics.

The company’s mission is to make precision cardiology accessible through scalable, software-driven innovation that empowers clinicians and improves patient outcomes worldwide.
