CQ Medical has appointed Michael Galbus as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition for the company.
Galbus previously served as Chief Operating Officer, where he strengthened operational performance, guided strategic growth initiatives, and fostered a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous development across the executive team.
As a cancer survivor, Galbus brings a deeply personal connection to CQ Medical’s mission of advancing care quality and improving outcomes for patients and clinicians. Known for his collaborative leadership style and strategic rigor, he has consistently driven innovation, execution excellence, and team empowerment throughout his tenure.
Galbus brings more than 30 years of experience across regulated sectors such as aerospace, building products, chemicals, and medical devices. His leadership background includes senior roles at global organizations including Dow Inc., Saint-Gobain, Zodiac Aerospace, and ACTEGA. With a strong ability to identify and replicate success across diverse industries, he has guided teams to deliver measurable performance and sustainable growth. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Purdue University.
As CEO, Galbus will focus on shaping long-term strategy, supporting teams in executing actionable operating plans, advancing acquisition and integration initiatives, and strengthening the company’s culture rooted in trust, accountability, and innovation.
Outgoing CEO Mike Sutter has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, ensuring continuity in CQ Medical’s strategic direction. Sutter emphasized his confidence in Galbus’ leadership, noting that the company is well-positioned to accelerate growth and deliver industry-leading solutions for patients and providers.
