Cognito Therapeutics, a late clinical-stage company developing non-invasive therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, has appointed Thomas Fagan as Executive Vice President, Alzheimer’s Portfolio, and a member of its Executive Leadership Team.

Fagan brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics sectors, with deep specialization in Alzheimer’s disease. His expertise spans diagnostics, therapeutics, and real-world clinical adoption, along with building cross-functional teams and advancing clinical-to-commercial strategies.

In his new role, Fagan will lead Cognito’s Alzheimer’s portfolio, focusing on strategic planning and commercial readiness for its flagship therapy, Spectris™. He will also support the development of integrated care models aimed at improving outcomes for patients and caregivers while aligning clinical development with market access and healthcare system engagement. His leadership will be key as the company advances toward major milestones, including the pivotal HOPE trial.

Prior to joining Cognito, Fagan served as Vice President, U.S. Alzheimer’s Disease Commercial at Eisai Inc., where he led commercialization strategies and contributed to the launch of LEQEMBI® (lecanemab). He also held leadership roles at Eli Lilly and Company, where he supported the commercialization of Amyvid, an FDA-approved PET imaging agent for detecting amyloid plaques.

Fagan holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in Economics from DePauw University.
