ImpediMed, a company focused on developing and commercializing medical technologies that monitor and manage fluid and body composition, has appointed Erik Anderson to its Board of Directors.

Anderson brings more than 16 years of experience in U.S. hospital sales, health system account management, and the commercialization of innovative clinical technologies. His professional background spans breast health, body composition, and medical aesthetics, offering strong commercial insight that aligns with ImpediMed’s strategic priorities, including breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL), body composition, and heart health.

Most recently, Anderson served as Division President of the Breast and Skeletal Health Division at Hologic. In this role, he led one of the company’s largest global business units, managing a franchise valued at more than US$1.6 billion. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening partnerships across the oncology and breast cancer survivorship ecosystem - an area closely connected to ImpediMed’s BCRL monitoring solutions.

In addition, Anderson oversaw Hologic’s Skeletal Health portfolio, which includes dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) technology, an important method for measuring body composition. This experience provides him with direct commercial expertise in markets that support ImpediMed’s long-term growth strategy and global expansion plans.

During his more than decade-long tenure at Hologic, Anderson also served as Division President of Cynosure, the company’s medical aesthetics business. In that role, he gained valuable experience in MedSpa channels, where accurate and repeatable body composition assessment is becoming increasingly important.

With Anderson joining the Board, ImpediMed aims to strengthen its commercial strategy and accelerate the adoption of its clinical technologies across key healthcare markets.
