Rune Labs, a leader in precision medicine for neurology, has appointed Adam Pellegrini as an independent member of its Board of Directors.
Pellegrini is an established pioneer in AI-driven digital health, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience in building and scaling technology platforms that connect patients, healthcare systems, and providers.
Throughout his career, Pellegrini has held executive roles at Kaia Health, Jasper Health, CVS Health, Fitbit, and Walgreens Boots Alliance, helping redefine how digital tools enhance prevention, chronic disease management, and patient engagement.
Currently, Pellegrini serves as CEO of Kaia Health, an AI-powered digital therapeutics company focused on musculoskeletal and pulmonary health. Under his leadership, Kaia Health has expanded global access through strategic partnerships and reimbursement pathways.
Previously, he was CEO and Board Member of Jasper Health, a digital oncology care and patient navigation platform supporting thousands of patients and caregivers.
Earlier, Pellegrini served as SVP of Enterprise Virtual Care & Consumer Health Innovation at CVS Health, where he led large-scale digital health initiatives that integrated virtual care into mainstream healthcare delivery. As General Manager and SVP at Fitbit (now part of Google), he played a central role in advancing payor integration and employer-based adoption of digital health technologies.
He also held the role of Digital Health Leader & Vice President of Marketing at the American Cancer Society, overseeing the organization’s digital transformation strategy.
Pellegrini’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Rune Labs as the company experiences strong growth of its flagship platform, StrivePD. The AI-powered StrivePD solution integrates data from Apple Watch, clinical records, and patient self-reports, providing a comprehensive and continuous view of Parkinson’s disease (PD) symptoms and treatment responses. The platform enables people with PD and their healthcare providers to make data-informed care decisions while improving access to innovative and personalized therapies.
In addition to clinical care, StrivePD enhances clinical trial design and operations by helping sponsors identify, recruit, and monitor patients more efficiently - reducing trial costs and enabling more precise studies. Pellegrini’s extensive expertise in digital health innovation and commercial scaling is expected to further strengthen Rune Labs’ mission to transform neurological care through precision medicine and AI-driven insights.
