Providence Medical Technology, Inc., a developer of differentiated spinal fusion technologies aimed at improving patient outcomes, has named Lane Major as President and Chief Executive Officer. He also takes a seat on the Board of Directors.
He brings more than 25 years in the medical device and spine sector, with a record that combines leadership roles and hands-on commercial scaling. Over the course of his career he has been associated with the launch of over 100 FDA-cleared products, and he joins Providence from Zavation Medical Products, where he was Chief Executive Officer.
Co-founder Bruce McCormack, MD, said the company was established to bring meaningful innovation to spine surgery and described Major's career as having followed the same purpose. He pointed to Major's history of taking differentiated technologies to market, building the commercial infrastructure needed to scale them, and winning the confidence of surgeons as the qualities the business needs at this point in its growth.
