Bioretec Ltd, a pioneer in absorbable orthopedic implants, has appointed Jordy Winters as Vice President of Sales Outside the U.S. (OUS) and member of the Company’s Management Team.
In this role, Winters will spearhead Bioretec’s international commercial strategy, focusing on expanding across Europe and other global markets to accelerate growth.
Winters brings over two decades of leadership experience in orthopaedics, spine, and trauma, gained from senior positions at Johnson & Johnson MedTech and Synthes. Most recently, he served as Spine Lead EMEA, where he was instrumental in shaping regional strategies, driving adoption, and building strong customer networks. His career journey from Sales Consultant to senior leadership underscores his ability to scale teams, foster innovation, and deliver impactful commercial outcomes.
His appointment comes at a pivotal time for Bioretec as the Company advances the global commercialization of its proprietary Activa™ absorbable polymer platform and RemeOs™ absorbable magnesium alloy technology, both designed to transform orthopaedic treatment and improve patient outcomes worldwide.
Alongside this leadership change, Rami Ojala, formerly Vice President of OUS Sales, has assumed the newly created role of Head of Global Medical Education. Ojala will lead surgeon training, strengthen educational programs, and support clinical adoption of Bioretec’s breakthrough technologies globally.
