HCA Florida Lake City Hospital has appointed Krista Hatley as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
In this leadership role, Hatley will manage all nursing operations across the hospital’s 141-bed full-service medical and surgical acute care facility, as well as its affiliated freestanding emergency department, HCA Florida Suwannee Emergency in Live Oak.
Hatley joins from HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, where she most recently served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO). During her tenure as ACNO, she played a key role in enhancing patient care experiences, spearheading support programs for new nurses, and serving as the executive clinical lead for the hospital’s Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.
Her journey with HCA Healthcare began in August 2017 at North Florida Hospital, initially as Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Within four months, she was promoted to Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, and a year later advanced to Vice President of Women’s and Children’s, a position she held until assuming the ACNO role in 2022.
With seven years at HCA Healthcare and 19 years of nursing experience across diverse specialties, Hatley holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership at Galen College of Nursing, with anticipated graduation in August 2025.
