Xodus Medical has received FDA 510(k) clearance for the Hot Pink Pad®, a novel patient temperature management and positioning system developed to improve surgical safety and operating room efficiency.
The system combines advanced warming technology with clinically proven patient positioning support in a single integrated platform.
The Hot Pink Pad® has been designed to address two major perioperative complications: Inadvertent Perioperative Hypothermia and Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries.
The device uses carbon-based conductive warming technology to deliver controlled and evenly distributed heat beneath the patient without circulating air or disturbing the sterile field.
The system also includes intelligent software that continuously monitors and adjusts temperature levels to help maintain patient normothermia during surgery.
According to the company, Inadvertent Perioperative Hypothermia affects more than 40 per cent of surgical patients and may increase the risk of infections, blood loss and longer recovery periods.
In addition to temperature management, the Hot Pink Pad® supports secure patient positioning and helps reduce pressure injury risks during complex procedures, including robotic and cardiovascular surgeries.
The single-use design also supports infection control and improved workflow efficiency.
The product is manufactured in the United States and is now available nationwide.
