Odin Medical Launches Breakthrough Device CADDIE Computer-Aided Detection

Odin Medical has announced FDA 510(k) clearance for the first cloud-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology CADDIE™ computer-aided detection (CADe) device.

It is designed to assist gastroenterologists in detecting suspected colorectal polyps during colonoscopy procedures.

In the rapidly changing landscape of AI, this cloud-based technology aids in enhancing the early detection of colorectal cancer through AI-powered software that can be updated remotely.

With its flexibility, quick innovation cycles, and potential for cost-efficiency, this cloud system is designed to support endoscopists in delivering high-quality care to their patients.

The use of the CADDIE device increased the number of adenomas detected per colonoscopy, which plays a key role in cancer prevention.

The system's ability to assist more endoscopists in reaching and benefiting a larger number of patients is genuinely promising.

Improving the effectiveness of colonoscopy, considering standard for colorectal screening, by strengthening clinical decision-making.

The CADDIE device is designed to complement, not substitute, a comprehensive patient evaluation. It should not be used as the primary tool for interpreting endoscopic procedures, diagnosing medical conditions, or determining treatment plans for patients.

The CADDIE device is specifically designed for use with standard white-light endoscopy imaging only.
