UC Davis Health's Magnificent $171 Million Medical Facility in Folsom

Introduction:

Construction Commences on New Outpatient Facility, Marking the Inception of the Medical Campus's First Phase

Features:

Construction teams are in the process of preparing for the initial phase of a multi-project expansion project in Folsom.

The inaugural project involves the development of an 112,000 square foot outpatient clinic, which has been named the Folsom Medical Office Building.

This clinic will provide a wide range of medical services, including primary and specialized care, a dedicated facility for blood draws, ophthalmology services, and an optical shop.

Additionally, it will be equipped with cutting-edge imaging facilities and an infusion suite designed to offer treatments for cancer patients and other medical services.

The expansion's primary objective is to enhance accessibility to high-quality outpatient medical care for Folsom's residents.

Future plans for the site encompass the establishment of a surgery center, a hotel, and a micro-hospital featuring an emergency department equipped with up to 30 beds.

The new health campus will place a strong emphasis on incorporating advanced technology and will prioritize the delivery of healthcare services beyond traditional hospital settings.

This approach aims to reduce healthcare costs while simultaneously improving patient comfort and convenience.

The project spans across a 40-acre campus and is scheduled for completion in 2025.
