TriStar Summit Invests $64 Million in Hospital Expansion

Introduction:

TriStar Summit has invested US $ 64 million to expand a three-story tower project in the United States.

Features:

The planned expansion will provide access to high-quality healthcare services in Davidson and Wilson counties. In addition to enhancing the current visitors' lobby and cafeteria space, it will add 119,504 square feet to increase critical care capacity.

It will also have the infrastructure necessary for future expansion.

The existing kitchen and dining area will be totally renovated and expanded as a result of the tower's expansion, which will also change the ground-floor visitor lobby.

Patients, visitors, and staff will all enhance the dining in the new outdoor seating area.

The new tower will be connected to the existing hospital by the first-floor balcony. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will gain 16 additional beds as a result of the expansion, bringing the total to 40. Future inpatient capacity requirements will be supported by the development of the second floor.
By the end of 2024, the tower's construction is anticipated to be finished.

Significant investments, in addition to the US $64 million tower expansion, include:

• a US $20 million observation unit with 25 beds. The hospital's addition, the Observation Unit, began operations in December 2022. Patients who may need hospital admission due to their condition can now stay in the observation unit for up to 48 hours while an evaluation is conducted. As a result, patients can be seen swiftly and effectively in the emergency room.
• US $4 million for the renovation of the fifth floor. New flooring has been installed throughout the fifth-floor remodeling project, and patient rooms have been improved with new furnishings and updated bathrooms. Additionally, a new nursing unit is being completed.
• The extension of Graduate Medical Education (GME), worth US $3.6 million. A new classroom, a lounge, and a sleeping area for students who are on the call were all added as part of the GME expansion project. The programme will give residents from TriStar Summit's sister facilities, TriStar Centennial and TriStar Skyline, valuable insights into the programmes offered there. In July, the project was completed.
• US $1 million for the expansion of the Mt. Juliet Freestanding ER. On June 15, the I-40 East Corridor's phased extension project to improve access to emergency medical services got underway. The facility will get three exam rooms as a result of the project, and the site will gain a storage structure.
