TriStar Hendersonville Initiates $21 Million Expansion Project for the Birth Center

Introduction:

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center Embarks on New Beginnings: Groundbreaking Ceremony Unveils the Birth Center's Capacity Expansion Project

Features:

An expansion project is underway at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, set to increase women's services for the Sumner County community. Six new birthing suites for labor, delivery, and postpartum care will be added, bringing the total to 20 suites.

Additionally, four private NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) suites will be included, raising the NICU's capacity to a total of 10 suites.

This expansion aims to ensure that the community can continue to access the nationally recognized care provided by the medical center.

Expert physicians and nurses work collaboratively to deliver outstanding care experiences for both new mothers and babies.

The expansion project encompasses the creation of a new five-bed obstetrics assessment center, a dedicated classroom space for support groups and prenatal education, as well as the establishment of an angel room to provide support for families who have experienced a loss.

The project will unfold in two phases. NICU suites are projected to be operational by May 2024, with the labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms scheduled for completion by August 2024.
