Toowoomba Hospital Invests $1.3 Billion in Modern Healthcare Infrastructure

Introduction:

The Toowoomba Hospital, announced $1.3 billion investment for the construction of new hospital located on the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus. 

Features:

This new facility will serve as a hub for health services, education, research, and community activities. Spanning 75 hectares, the campus will integrate modern, tree-lined spaces with heritage buildings to create a world-class health and knowledge precinct. 

The hospital is designed to cater to the growing population of the region, offering expanded healthcare services and delivering significant economic benefits, including the creation of over 3,100 construction jobs. 

Key features of the new hospital include 118 additional overnight beds, improved access to local services, better patient outcomes, and enhanced opportunities for staff development and training. The design will focus on efficient staff and patient movement, accessibility, and clear way finding.

The construction is set to be completed by late 2027.
