Bon Secours St. Francis Health System Invests $23 million to construct a New Emergency Department

Introduction:

Bon Secours St. Francis Health System is set to begin construction on a new freestanding emergency department in Five Forks. The facility, located at 2814 Woodruff Road, will be the health system’s second standalone emergency care centre in Greenville County.

Features:

The new site aims to provide greater convenience for residents, offering immediate medical attention closer to home.

The new emergency facility will cover 12,500 square feet and include nine examination rooms, one of which will be designated for trauma care.

Advanced diagnostic services such as CT scans and X-ray imaging will also be available.

The centre will operate 24/7, staffed by board-certified emergency medicine professionals, providing high-quality medical care for a range of urgent conditions.

The health system’s objective is to expand healthcare access across the community, ensuring prompt and efficient emergency care outside hospital settings.

The freestanding facility will offer the same level of diagnosis and treatment as hospital-based emergency departments, helping to reduce waiting times and improve patient outcomes.

Construction is scheduled for completion by spring 2026.
