To improve patient flow from the ED to the inpatient setting, there will be a dedicated Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Room with a fully equipped CT scan.

Furthermore, the ED expansion will provide a separate waiting room and treatment area specifically designed for medically supervised chemical dependency detoxification and rehabilitation.
This separate area will allow for specialized care for dependency patients, ensuring their distinct needs are met efficiently and safely.
The anticipated completion of St. Charles Hospital's ED expansion is set for the end of summer 2024.
