Introduction:
Oviedo Medical Center, affiliated with HCA Florida Healthcare, is set to expand its facilities to address the increasing healthcare demands of Seminole and Orange counties.
Features:
The expansion will occur in multiple phases, starting with an increase in the number of operating rooms from 5 to 9.
Additionally, a new Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will be added to enhance patient care.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) capacity will more than double, growing from 10 to 24 beds.
As part of the expansion, a vertical addition will include a 4th floor to accommodate 24 additional inpatient medical/surgical beds, thereby raising the total inpatient bed count from 64 to 102.
Oviedo Medical Center boasts a diverse medical staff, comprising over 590 credentialed physicians and advanced practice professionals, providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community.
The first phase of the expansion is scheduled to be completed by spring 2024
