Introduction
NorthBay Health Medical Centre has received funding of around $14.9 million under California’s Behavioural Health Continuum Infrastructure Programme to develop a new Behavioural Health and Addiction Medicine Centre in Fairfield, Solano County.
Features
The new facility will be built next to the existing NorthBay Health Medical Centre and will offer a fully integrated model of care.
It will combine a 24-hour behavioural health urgent care service, a community mental health clinic, and an outpatient programme for substance use treatment, all in one location.
The centre is expected to support around 19,000 patients each year, helping to reduce pressure on emergency departments and improve access to timely treatment.
The centre will mainly support adults aged 18 and over, including people experiencing homelessness, those involved with the justice system, and young adults moving out of foster care.
The Behavioural Health and Addiction Medicine Centre is currently in the planning and predevelopment stage and is expected to be completed by 2028.
