NGMC Commences New Hospital Construction in Dahlonega, USA

A new hospital building in Dahlonega, Georgia, has begun construction by Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Lumpkin.

The 66,000-square-foot facility has been in the planning stages since 2019. It will be situated at Georgia 400, just south of the Highway 60 interchange.

Additionally, the hospital offers inpatient care and supports pharmacy, lab, and imaging services. 16 private inpatient rooms, 10 emergency treatment rooms, 4 observation rooms, a fast-track section, and a separate entry and exit will all be present in the facility. Three operating rooms, orthopedic, sports medicine, and general surgery specialties will be offered as part of the surgical services.

Along with a lab and pharmacy, there will also be a cafe and dining space.

The facility is anticipated to begin operations in 2024.
