Nemours Children's Hospital Invests $300 Million for Its Expansion in Central Florida

Nemours Children's Health plans to invest $300 million in Central Florida over the next four years to address the increasing demand for top-tier pediatric care. This development is part of the organisation's broader strategy to extend its reach and improve access to high-quality care for children across Delaware, Florida, and beyond.

Features:

The expansion project will feature an 110,000-square-foot addition to the pediatric hospital will double the Emergency Department's capacity, enhance the Imaging Department, and add new inpatient beds and observation rooms. 

A new 75,000-square-foot building will house an advanced surgery centre with six additional operating rooms and expanded patient exam rooms. 

This facility will support the growth of Nemours' orthopaedics division, including the establishment of an International Centre for Limb Lengthening and a Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory—the first accredited lab of its kind in Florida.

A separate 75,000-square-foot administrative building, complete with an 800-space parking garage.

The expansion is scheduled to open by 2028.
