MUSC Health and Clemson University Expand Campus Health Services with $71M Facility

Introduction

MUSC Health and Clemson University have started building a new comprehensive health care facility on the Clemson main campus. The project is expected to cost around $71.2 million and aims to sharply improve student wellness and care delivery. 

Features

A 90,000-square-foot, three-storey building designed to support patient-focused and efficient clinical care.

Expanded student health and wellness services, including pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, allergy and immunisation clinic, counselling and psychological services, and telehealth.

A sports medicine and ambulatory surgery centre operated by Prisma Health Blue Ridge Orthopedics.

A human performance research centre to support academic and research collaboration.

The new development marks a major step in strengthening collaboration between the two institutions and expanding on-campus medical services for students, staff, and the wider university community.

The new comprehensive health care facility is due to open in autumn 2027.
