Lusardi Tower Groundbreaking Marks $263 Million Investment at Scripps Encinitas

Introduction:

Scripps Health recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to commence the construction of the Lusardi Tower and Pulmonary Institute at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

Features:

The facility will be a three-story, 224,000-square-foot building designed to provide a broad range of patient care services and facilities.

One significant component of the Lusardi Tower is the Lusardi Pulmonary Institute, which will expand the hospital's existing interventional pulmonary medicine program.

Once completed, the tower will feature 64 private inpatient rooms, including 36 private medical/surgical beds, and 16 intensive care unit beds.

The facility will also house multiple operating rooms to support various medical procedures.

The institute aims to offer a comprehensive continuum of care, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, for both inpatient and outpatient services.

With this expansion, the hospital's total bed count will exceed 230, enabling them to meet the evolving healthcare needs of their patients.

The Lusardi Tower and other planned projects demonstrate Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas' commitment to providing excellent healthcare services to the community for years to come.

The anticipated opening of the Lusardi Tower is before the end of 2025.
