Introduction:
Lecom Health has started construction of a new 34,000 square foot new emergency department and intensive care unit in USA.
Features:
The new emergency department is an exciting addition to the hospital. Located on the first floor, it will feature eight treatment rooms, two trauma rooms, and six patient rooms dedicated to behavioral health. This will enable the hospital to provide more comprehensive care to those in need.
The second floor of the hospital will house the intensive care unit (ICU). It will feature six new critical care patient beds and fourteen private medical/surgical patient rooms. These additional resources will allow the hospital to provide the highest level of care to those in critical care situations.
A dedicated ambulance-only drop-off area is also included in the plans along with a new emergency entrance and exit directly off Peach Street.
Construction is slated to be completed in late 2024.
