IU Health Invests US$287 million in Healthcare Facilities Expansion

The expansion of Indiana University Health's Saxony hospital complex will cost US$287 million. Fishers, Indiana, will be the site of the new facility.

The hospital complex, which will eventually be known as IU Health Fishers, will expand by 50%, with inpatient beds increasing from 50 to 88.

A stand-alone outpatient medical office will be developed throughout the community as part of the expansion.

In addition, services in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonology would be added or expanded.

Existing specialist programmes in cardiology, gastroenterology, general medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, primary care (pediatric and adult), and urology will also be expanded to meet demand.

The hospital expansion is expected to commence in late 2022, with a completion date of 2025.

The project will double the hospital's size once completed.
