Holy Cross Health Invests US$57.3M in New Fort Lauderdale Care Centre

Introduction

Holy Cross Health has started construction of its US$57.3 million Holy Cross Health Center & Emergency Care – Fort Lauderdale at Sunrise, expanding access to emergency, specialist and diagnostic healthcare services in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The new campus is designed to improve access to healthcare for local residents and visitors while supporting the region's growing population.

Features

The development will cover nearly 45,000 square feet across two floors of approximately 22,416 square feet each.

The first phase will include a 24/7 emergency department, advanced diagnostic imaging facilities and multispecialty physician services.

The second floor will be completed in a future phase as demand for healthcare services increases.

The project is the second Holy Cross Health Center & Emergency Care facility in Broward County, following the opening of its Deerfield Beach location.

It forms part of the organisation's wider strategy to expand emergency, outpatient and specialist care beyond its main hospital campus.

Construction is being delivered by MPL Construction. The first phase is expected to create around 120 healthcare jobs, with total employment rising to more than 200 positions after future expansion phases.

Once fully operational, the campus is expected to provide care for more than 73,000 patients each year, strengthening healthcare capacity across the Fort Lauderdale area.
