Introduction
Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) has unveiled plans for a new $400 million nonprofit acute care hospital in Sherman, Texas. Named Heritage Regional Medical Center (HRMC), the facility is designed to transform healthcare delivery in the region through advanced technology, modern design and patient-centred care.
Features
The first phase of HRMC will include 100 inpatient beds, with capacity for future expansion to accommodate up to 200 additional beds.
The hospital will provide comprehensive services across major departments such as surgery, imaging, emergency care and outpatient treatment.
Initially, HRMC will employ over 400 staff, including physicians, nurses, technicians and pharmacists. With planned expansion, the workforce is expected to grow to more than 1,000 employees.
The hospital aims to serve Sherman, nearby communities and Southern Oklahoma by meeting immediate healthcare needs while establishing a long-term, sustainable model of care. Its design will prioritise both clinical excellence and a supportive environment for patients and families.
HRMC is expected to be fully operational by 2028.
