Community Health Network Announces $335 Million Redevelopment Project for New Healthcare Campus in Westfield

Introduction:

Community Health Network is set to launch a major expansion with a new healthcare campus in Westfield, Indiana.

Features:

The Hospital compus covering 425,000 square feet and will be situated near 196th Street and US 31.

The facility will feature a dedicated ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures, a medical office building with various specialties, an emergency department for urgent care, and a six-story patient tower for inpatient needs.

Additionally, the project includes renovating two existing buildings on East Street to house medical offices, an ambulatory surgery center, an emergency department, outpatient imaging, and cardiovascular care.

The total cost is projected at $335 million, with renovations saving over $50 million compared to new construction.

The expansion will also add a new 100-bed inpatient tower. Scheduled for completion in phases, the medical office building is expected to open by early 2025, with the surgery center, hospital service building, and patient tower ready by mid-2026.

This development not only supports the Network’s goals for sustainability by reducing costs and environmental impact but also revitalizes the site of a former business park.
