Ballad Health is expanding its cancer care services in the Appalachian Highlands, aiming to improve access to quality oncology and haematology treatment. The expansion at Ballad Health Cancer Care – Johnson City will increase capacity and provide more comprehensive care closer to home.

The development includes new exam rooms, additional physician offices, and two chemotherapy wings with private rooms.

The first phase has been completed, adding 11 new exam rooms, an expanded in-house pharmacy, three physician offices, a dedicated work area for clinicians, and an improved registration area.

The next phase will focus on expanding the existing infusion centre, incorporating two chemotherapy wings with 32 infusion chairs and six private rooms to better accommodate patients undergoing treatment.
