Arkansas Children’s Secures $50M for Pediatric Health Expansion

Introduction

Arkansas Children’s has received a record-breaking gift of $50 million from philanthropist and entrepreneur B. Thomas Golisano. This is the largest donation in the health system’s history and marks a major milestone in its long-term plan to expand and strengthen child health services across Arkansas and the wider region.

Features

This long-term plan focuses on developing new clinical programmes, recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce, and upgrading facilities to meet the growing and changing health needs of children.

As part of this investment, the Little Rock campus will be renamed the Arkansas Children’s Golisano Campus in recognition of the donor’s contribution.

This also brings Arkansas Children’s into the Golisano Children’s Alliance, a collaborative network of children’s hospitals working together to improve access, innovation and quality of paediatric care across the United States.

The health system, which is independently governed and nationally recognised, plays a vital role as a specialist provider of paediatric care, research and education, serving families in Arkansas and neighbouring areas.

The expansion is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in 2027.
