Piedmont Henry Hospital Invests $215 Million in Transformation with a New Patient Tower

Introduction:

The primary goal of this expansion project is to revamp the hospital's premises and address the healthcare demands of a swiftly growing local population.

Features:

Key components of the project encompass the construction of a state-of-the-art patient tower, the addition of 95 fresh inpatient rooms, and an increase in the hospital's licensed bed capacity to a total of 355 beds.

To cater to the surging demand, supplementary surface parking facilities will be introduced.

The expansion plan includes the incorporation of three additional Operating Room suites, augmenting the total count to 14. This move aims to minimize wait times for surgical procedures.

Furthermore, this expansion effort will significantly alleviate wait times at the emergency department, which currently handles almost 75,000 visits annually.

The hospital is committed to embracing advanced medical technologies, such as robotic-assisted surgery, and has successfully attracted top-tier physicians. The hospital has also strategically optimized available space to ensure the delivery of top-notch medical care.

Construction is scheduled to commence in early 2024, with an estimated completion timeline of approximately two and a half years.
