Baylor University and Evidence In Motion (EIM) have reached a licensing agreement, allowing Baylor to continue using the collaborative blended learning methods and structured clinical education model. This agreement supports Baylor's occupational therapy and physical therapy programs, both at the entry-level and post-professional doctorate levels.
Since 2016, Baylor University has partnered with EIM to offer innovative and career-focused education in response to the growing demand for skilled care providers. The partnership has successfully launched and grown three programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, and Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
Pradeep Khandelwal, CEO of Evidence In Motion, expressed pride in the accomplishments of the partnership, stating that they have pioneered the first hybrid, accelerated doctorate programs in physical and occupational therapy. These programs have not only made education more accessible but have also prepared students to address critical shortages in healthcare professions.
Throughout the collaboration, EIM contributed expertise in accreditation, course curricula, clinical education, and marketing and admissions for the degree programs. The partnership has achieved significant milestones in healthcare education outcomes, establishing a model that other institutions have embraced.
Dean Jason Carter of the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences emphasized the value of hybrid education and its lasting impact. Despite being established prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Baylor-EIM partnership continues to prioritize a rigorous educational experience with immersive on-campus opportunities tailored to meet students' needs.
