Altera Digital Health, a renowned global healthcare IT innovator, has announced the extension of its partnership with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center for an additional five years. Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, New Jersey's largest hospital and a clinical affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, will not only expand its utilization of the Paragon® electronic health record (EHR) system but also implement Paragon® Ambulatory Care EHR, Microsoft Azure hosting, and various other Altera solutions.
As the fourth largest publicly owned hospital in the United States, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center offers comprehensive services, including ambulatory, acute, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and long-term care, to Bergen County, New Jersey. Since 2017, the medical center has successfully leveraged Paragon, Altera's integrated clinical, financial, and administrative solution tailored for community health systems. Following the acquisition of Allscripts Hospitals and Large Physician Practices business segment by N. Harris Computer Corporation (Harris), Altera became a business unit under Harris Healthcare in May 2022. Harris is a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc.

In addition to the Paragon EHR system, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center will implement several other Altera solutions. These include Paragon Clinician Mobile™, a mobile EHR solution enabling access to patient clinical data anytime and anywhere; Paragon® Claims Management, an administrative solution that minimizes productivity loss and revenue leakages; dbMotion™ Connect, an interoperability solution that enhances access to patient health data within the EHR at the point of care; Ventus Compliance Advisor, a software application automating medical necessity checks and clinical code auditing for Medicare outpatient services; and a behavioral health content expansion package. To alleviate the complexities of managing an intricate IT infrastructure, the medical center will also leverage remote hosting on Microsoft Azure through Altera's strategic partnership with Microsoft.
