Atlantic Health and K Health have launched Atlantic Health PatientGPT and Virtual Primary Care to improve digital access to healthcare and help patients connect with appropriate clinical services.
Atlantic Health PatientGPT is an AI-enabled clinical tool integrated with the health system’s electronic health record and MyChart patient portal.
It provides personalised information based on a patient’s medical history, helping users understand symptoms and health concerns without relying on generic online search results.
The platform also supports care navigation by helping patients identify the appropriate level of care.
When a consultation is needed, users can connect with Atlantic Health clinicians and, where appropriate, arrange same-day or same-hour appointments through Virtual Primary Care.
Virtual Primary Care provides convenient access to primary care physicians without requiring patients to visit a physical facility.
Together, the solutions create a digital pathway that guides patients from their initial health question to appropriate care.
The PatientGPT service is being introduced in a beta phase and will gradually roll out across New Jersey over the coming months. It is designed to complement, rather than replace, physician care.
The initiative combines AI, electronic health records and virtual care to improve patient access, support care coordination and enhance operational efficiency across Atlantic Health’s healthcare network.
