Virtis Health, a national provider specializing in therapeutic and diagnostic services for patients requiring specialty infusible and injectable medications, has announced the introduction of ambulatory infusion centers (AIC) in Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. Virtis Health is a division of Soleo Health, a national provider of complex specialty pharmacy services offered in-home or at alternative care sites. Together, the combined services of Virtis Health and Soleo Health in Ohio provide patients with flexible options for receiving care that meet their individual therapy needs and service expectations in a cost-effective manner.
Both Virtis Health Columbus and Virtis Health Cleveland offer a comprehensive range of therapy management services and treatments for patients with autoimmune disorders, including chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis. Additionally, both AICs provide treatments and management for patients with various inflammatory conditions such as thyroid eye disease, Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, primary immunodeficiencies, as well as rare and ultra-rare diseases.
Virtis Health Columbus AIC is located at 6190 Shamrock Court, Suite 110, in Dublin, reachable at 614-339-3970. Virtis Health Cleveland AIC is located at 500 East Royalton Road, Suite 110, in Broadview Heights, reachable at 216-453-8570. Both locations operate Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening and weekend appointments available upon request. They accept a wide range of health insurance carriers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.
Katelyn Heilman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience providing critical care for pediatrics and adults, has been appointed as an advanced nurse practitioner at Virtis Health Columbus. She obtained her Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Assisting Heilman is Lauren Pica, MSN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than five years of experience in both outpatient infusion center and ICU settings.
At Virtis Health Cleveland, Katie Novak, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has been named an advanced nurse practitioner responsible for overseeing patient care. Novak brings seven years of clinical experience to her role and has provided care to children and young adults in the pediatric intensive care unit and critical care transport. She also has experience in the field of allergy and immunology. Novak holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and completed her Master of Science in family practice at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
In their respective positions, Heilman, Pica, and Novak manage all patient needs at Virtis Health, including administering intravenous and injectable medications, as well as assessing and monitoring patients' status during and after treatment at their respective AICs. Clinical pharmacists are also available to provide support as needed.
