Shimadzu Medical Systems USA, a subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, is thrilled to announce the launch of the Dynamic Digital Radiography (DDR) function for their MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 K-Type system. This exciting feature will be showcased at the upcoming AHRA Annual Meeting and Exposition in Indianapolis.
The MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 K-Type now offers support for DDR, an advanced X-ray technology that enables the creation of a series of individual digital images from pulsed X-rays, allowing for dynamic imaging studies. Unlike traditional static images, DDR provides cine loops that capture dynamic information, such as changes in lung shape during respiration. This is particularly useful for patients with limited mobility.
With the DDR option, the MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 K-Type allows the immediate display of DDR images on the system's large monitor. This facilitates real-time evaluation and enhances patient care. The system's mobility makes it ideal for bedside radiography, emergency rooms, and various locations within hospitals where X-ray examinations are needed.
Shimadzu's mobile X-ray system is known for its excellent maneuverability and forward visibility during travel. Additionally, the built-in 19-inch square monitor enables operators to quickly verify acquired images, facilitating prompt treatment decisions.
Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has been at the forefront of digital radiography (DR) units, offering different types of flat panel detectors to continually advance mobile imaging performance and workflow. The introduction of DDR further demonstrates their commitment to innovation in the field.
