Samsung Continues to Make Significant Investment in its Ultrasound Business in North America

Friday, October 07, 2022

Samsung is increasing its investment in the ultrasound business in North America to expand its reach and provide innovative imaging technology to more patients and clinicians. The investments include introducing new products featuring Samsung technology, improving order processing systems, expanding service offerings with remote automation, and extending market coverage to reach more Integrated Delivery Networks. These initiatives aim to ensure easier access to Samsung's cutting-edge imaging technology.

To accommodate the growing needs of customers in the United States, Samsung is segmenting the ultrasound business and bringing in leadership talent with market knowledge and experience in key segments. While Dan Monaghan will continue leading the General Imaging, Point-of-Care, and Veterinary Ultrasound businesses, Tracy Bury has been appointed as the Women's Health Ultrasound Business Leader. Tracy will focus on the Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Assisted Reproductive Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology markets, delivering lifelong healthcare solutions for women using Samsung's excellent image quality, ergonomics, and AI-assisted software.

Tracy joins Samsung after an impressive career leading the U.S. Women's Health business at GE Healthcare and global ultrasound teams for Siemens Healthineers. With over 25 years of experience and strong industry relationships, Tracy will contribute to the growth of Boston Imaging's Women's Health business by fostering key opinion leader relationships and attracting top talent from the market.

Samsung's segmented focus on both Women's Health and Radiology ultrasound business units will drive faster technology adoption by understanding the specific patient populations and clinical markets served. Through its network of dealers and direct associates in North America, Samsung provides best-in-class ultrasound technology for Women's Health, Radiology, Point-of-Care, and Veterinary businesses. Additionally, in its separate digital radiography business, Samsung offers advanced digital X-ray technology, including portable, panel, and fixed room solutions.
