Saint Joseph's Medical Center Extends Oracle Health's EHR and RevElate Across its Entire Health System

Thursday, April 13, 2023

Saint Joseph's Medical Center, a healthcare system spanning multiple locations in Westchester County, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Oracle Health. The medical center plans to implement Oracle Health's electronic health record (EHR) system and RevElate Patient Accounting across all its facilities.

By leveraging Oracle Health's technology, Saint Joseph's Medical Center aims to streamline its operations by consolidating disparate systems into a unified platform. This will enable consistent access to patient health records across all hospitals and clinics within the network. Additionally, the implementation of RevElate Patient Accounting is expected to improve efficiency in the patient billing process. Patients will benefit from a single, user-friendly portal to access their comprehensive health data.

Michael Spicer, the president and CEO of Saint Joseph's Medical Center, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, emphasizing the organization's commitment to excellence in patient care. Standardizing on Oracle Health's Cerner Millennium EHR and RevElate Patient Accounting will enable clinicians, staff, and patients to access accurate and timely data, facilitating better decision-making.

The extended use of the EHR and RevElate across the entire network will empower clinicians and staff with comprehensive information, leading to more informed care decisions. It will also help reduce repetitive tasks and enhance coordination among the care team. The adoption of RevElate will automate the billing process, providing a unified view of clinical and financial data and enabling better visibility into patient accounts and activity.

Travis Dalton, the executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health, highlighted the company's commitment to reducing complexity and cost while improving care within healthcare systems. Oracle aims to collaborate with customers and industry partners to accelerate innovation, creating a connected and user-friendly healthcare system that prioritizes care equity and outcomes.
