Ascend Performance Materials has unveiled its latest offering for the healthcare industry under the HiDura™ brand—a new portfolio of medical grade nylon 6,6 resins and engineered materials. Designed to meet ISO 10993-5 and 10993-10 testing criteria, HiDura™ MED products are suitable for a wide range of healthcare applications. These include medical durables such as braces, patient support equipment, furniture, mobility aids, and durable devices. Additionally, they are ideal for drug delivery systems like filtration equipment, membranes, tubing, fluid connectors, and auto injectors. HiDura™ MED materials are also well-suited for surgical instruments such as scalpel handles, dental instruments, forceps, and clamps. Furthermore, they can be used in medical equipment housings, protective cases, cables, sensors, connectors, and wearables.
